Alphas

Although the Maitreya mesh templates do a decent job of blocking out your body, tight dresses often allow bits of skin to show through. But you can make those disappear by tweaking the ALPHA tab in your Maitreya Lara HUD. Save the ones you use most often in the five buttons at the bottom. (I add the number to my Outfits folder, like “Alpha 3”.) OR use the Maitreya Save Stick included with your body and save that right in the folder with the outfit! Other mesh bodies have one or both of these helpful features too.

I’m going to save my alphas to this page! You may not want to get this detailed; the worst Maitreya offenders are the butt and the arms. CLICK EACH IMAGE for a larger view.

AURA and ESTRELLA
(closed to neck; 3/4-length sleeves)

LYRA and VEGA/VEGA-P
(open bodice, bare arms)

CARINA TANGO DRESS
(Skirt comes up HIGH in front)

GYPSY, BELLE ISLE, GRAND BOULEVARD
(bare top and arms, slit left leg)
CHAPALA & STARLIGHT
(bare back, arms, lots of top)

SEREIA/SEREIA-P MERMAID GOWNS
(blank entire lower body, even the feet if not moving much)

GWEN/GWEN-P (bare top, slit right leg) use the included Alpha layer and tweak with the HUD if desired.

Another way of doing GWEN/GWEN-P. This may work better if you’re doing a dance with a lot of high kicking!

SABRINA-P one-sleeve long gown. How much of your leg you let show is up to you! I find this works well, even for dances with high kicking.

BERYl/BERYL-P comes with an excellent alpha, but you can’t only alpha out one arm that way! So use your HUD as above to alpha out your right arm.

QUILLA biker minidress and most other ¡En Yo! dresses work great with SHOW ALL.

DIAMOND DUST & OBSIDIAN DUST biker suits: HIDE ALL except HANDS and FEET.

ONYX/ONYX-P use the included alpha layer and HIDE HANDS if your nails show.
